OFFICIAL & UNOFFICIAL VISITS: BOTH ARE GOOD

College visits are plentiful as the school year begins. Both official and unofficial visits will be centered around games or special events. Prospective student athletes will be invited to see campus. The biggest difference between the two are who pays for the expenses. Official visits are paid for by the college, unofficial paid for by the athletes & their families.

The similarities between official and unofficial visits are the opportunities presented from being on campus. You can ask coaches questions, meet with academic programs and tour facilities You have a chance to see campus in action.

Have a checklist of characteristics & qualities in a college that are important to you. When you finish your day, you will have a list of likes & dislikes, as well as a gut feeling about your visit, whether official or unofficial.
