THE SCOREBOARD

Growing up in athletics means looking at the scoreboard. Numbers and statistics have become such a big part of sports. At times too much emphasis is placed on the information, yet they surely serve a purpose.

During your recruiting process keep score and know the numbers. Each school has statistics that speak to the college and program. Graduation rates, winning percentage and placement rates are just a few. As you evaluate colleges rank them. When you are offered a scholarship or financial aid package understand how much you are receiving and how much you may be paying. Have a scoreboard.

When it is time to make your decision look at your scoreboard. The information will help you. But don’t place too much emphasis on the numbers. The “Feel Factor” is very important.
